The media has a massive role in today's society, and with advancements in technology it is increasingly the case that workplaces rely on media tools. Our News for U package gives your students the opportunity to be part of the media revolution in a creative and entrepreneurial way.

The day starts off with your students being split into mixed ability groups each forming their very own media production team. They are tasked with putting together their very own live news programme.

In the first high paced and inspiring session, the young people will be guided by our expert facilitators and will ; research topical stories, develop scripts and work to strict deadlines to produce their news show. They will also conceive a name of their news show, work on branding and they will even pick their introduction music. The groups will then learn the essential filming skills required in the news room with real-life media production professionals.

In the afternoon session the groups will broadcast their news shows live from a studio. Peers and representatives from the media company will then judge each show on a range of criteria and an overall winner will be announced. News 4 U is a fantastic way for your students to develop their presentation, research and media skills whilst developing their understanding of the business and creative side of media production.
