Into The Dragons Challenge

Ideal for - Full Year Enterprise Challenge, Business and Finance Diploma induction day or taster day.

Age Range - 9-13 (University Version available upon request).

Enterprise Days

Based on the hit T.V show the Altogether Company has successfully created a day long activity designed at inspiring students and giving them a real life insight into the business world. The challenge has been hailed as one of the best on the market and been recommended as a great taster or induction for the new Business and Finance Diplomas (See link for an example video) – http://www.diploma-support.org/resourcesandtools/insidework/ee/MPD#822.

The day starts with the students being split into groups and given a topic to work with. From that topic they must come up with a product or service that they believe could be successful in today's market place.

After coming up with a product, they consider areas like, the customer profile, the 4'ps of marketing and the USP of their product or service.

Then comes the challenging part, they then in the afternoon get to present their ideas to a real panel of business professionals in a 'Dragons Den meets the X-Factor' type format. The judges or 'Dragons' will then offer their views on the presentations and then judge an overall winner.

Enterprise education key to more start-ups

If more people received enterprise education there would be far more start-ups in the UK, a new report has concluded. The latest Global Entrepreneurship Monitor suggested that enterprise education is inadequate throughout the world. Entrepreneurship education was a key factor identified by the report in influencing people to start their own businesses. Other factors include access to finance and government policies.

Royal appointment

Ben and Michael were formally invited to the centenary celebrations of Stoke-on-Trent as a city held last Friday. In its hundredth and proud year a celebration took place at Kings Hall, a prominent building of the city. During the day Ben and Mike the company directors spoke to Prince Charles about the work the company does in schools and the importance of enterprise education days.
